My favorite Character meet and greets
What’s a trip to Disney World without meeting or at least seeing your favorite Disney characters? My personal favorite has always been Goofy only because he basically sums up my personality. Lets face it, no matter how old you may be, there’s something about meeting the fab 5 that makes you feel like a kid again -Even if it’s just a little bit. For those who may not know who the fab 5 are, they include; Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto. Some consider Daisy being in the group, but I think Pluto is more popular, (well at least to me). For

families traveling to Disney world, especially the first timers, a character meet and greet is well worth a fastpass. Without fastpasses, depending at what location and what characters you’re in line to meet, the wait time can be up to 45-60 minutes. But fastpasses aren’t always necessary because some do wait in lines no matter how long the wait is to be able to see their favorite Disney character. I will be going over some of the best thematic locations to encounter Disney characters and where you will be able to find them.

First I’ll start off with a location in the Magic Kingdom that is very popular due to the area this meet and greet
is located. Pete’s Silly Sideshow is a circus themed character greeting area in the Storybook Circus part of
Fantasyland. Here under the “Big Top” you will find Daisy, Minnie, Goofy and Donald all in circus themed attire.
Daisy Duck will be dressed as Madame Daisy Fortuna, Minnie goes by Minnie Magnifique,
Goofy is The Great Goofini and the Donald is known as the Astounding Donaldo. Here expect 30 min waits
at its slowest times and there are two lines, 1 for Minnie and Daisy and the other for Donald and Goofy.
The theming makes this character meet and greet very unique and a must do!
Second meet and greet I will suggest is located in Hollywood Studios and is the Star Wars Launch Bay.

Here you will be able to see props and models from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, get behind the scenes look at
props from Solo: A Star Wars Story. You can also take pictures from the Cantina and see real props that
were used from the movies. It is a really immersive experience that will make you believe you are in the
Star Wars universe. Once you’ve checked out the props, be prepared to run into Storm Troopers and the
infamous Kylo Ren, careful because he can be intimidating and use the dark side against you.
On the other side of the force, you will meet Chewbacca and BB-8 for great photo ops!
This is another must, WAIT LINES HERE CAN EASILY RANGE FROM 20- 35 MINUTES.
(Bonus- it’s all indoors and air conditioned if it’s hot or the afternoon rain storm is hitting).

Lastly, for the princesses out there, I suggest the Royal Sommerhus in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot
. Here you will enter into a cozy cabin that is home to two of the most popular characters as of late,
Princess Anna and Queen Elsa. Once inside the cabin you will feel as if you are in the Frozen storyline
as the cabin is completely themed to make you feel as if Anna and Elsa actually do stay here.
If you time it right, as soon as you’re done visiting the Sommerhus, you can get a Fastpass to Frozen Ever After
and enjoy one of the most popular attractions in Epcot! Here expect wait lines to range from 20-40 minutes!
These locations I believe are some of the best locations for most thematic character experience that you and your family will be able to enjoy!
